If you have been in Vienna for the WordCamp Europe 2016 closing remarks, then you probably know that at the same time we announced Paris as the host for WordCamp Europe 2017, we immediately released 2,000 tickets. Now, although we never actually promoted ticket sales, almost 500 tickets are already gone. Did you get yours already? Today, we’re not only announcing ticket sales but we wanted to share 3 reasons (of many) why we think you should definitely come to WordCamp Europe 2017 and to the beautiful city of Paris. Ready, steady, go!

The #WCEU tickets are up for grabs

The first batch of 2,000 tickets for WordCamp Europe 2017  in Paris is on sale, and over 500 tickets have been sold already, even though we’re announcing it just now. Tickets are priced at 40€ what makes them affordable for everyone, and with every ticket you will get:

  • a ticket for conference days, June 16th and 17th
  • the option to register for Contributor Day on June 15th if you want (registration will open separately)
  • an amazing WCEU T-Shirt
  • an afterparty invitation (and you should already know that WordCamp Europe afterparties rock!)
  • a chance to grab a bunch of cool swag from our awesome sponsors

In 2016, WordCamp Europe happened to be the largest WordCamp ever organized to date. In 2017 you will have the same opportunity as this year to hear great talks by the WordPress industry leaders and influencers, chat and exchange ideas with other members of the WordPress community, and get your hands on all that sweet, sweet swag.

Why should you get your ticket now?

WCEU 2016 in Vienna has been a huge success, with over twice as many attendees than WCEU 2015! This surge in interest surprised a lot of us, and hundreds were left without a ticket, even after we expanded the conference to the neighbouring Leopold museum. We’re expecting the Paris event to be bigger and better than ever, and you don’t want to miss out just because you forgot to get your ticket in time.

Why should you come to WordCamp Europe?

There are too many good reasons to fit into a single article (you’re welcome to write your own in the comments!), so we’ll name just a couple of most important ones.

WordCamp Europe is a global event

WordCamp Europe has been breaking records from the start. And as it’s growing, it’s starting to get more visitors from all over the world – in 2016, more than 300 people traveled to WCEU from other continents than Europe. If you’re in the WordPress ecosystem, WCEU has become too big to ignore.

It’s a great networking opportunity for everyone

Looking for a new job? Need more developers for your team? Have an idea for a startup that you need to validate? Or maybe you’re just struggling with something, and you need an advice how to tackle it better? The WordPress community is all about sharing experience and ideas, building relationships, and even friendships (the best kind of ships). WordCamps, in general, have a vibe of approachability; events where industry leaders would sit next to you and ask you about your day. And WCEU is the greatest of them all.

It’s Paris!

When was the last time business took you to the City of Light? It’s a beautiful city with rich culture and a plethora of historical landmarks. And you get a unique opportunity to relax after the greatest WordPress conference by visiting the Notre Dame cathedral, The Louvre, or taking a walk through the streets where Amélie [Poulain] was filmed.
