Why should you write about WordCamp Europe?

WordCamp Europe is the largest conference that gathers WordPress lovers, selfless givers, contributors and many different kind of companies that work on the WordPress platform, all in one place.

As you could see from the image below, it takes a lot of love from a lot of people to make this conference happen!

Here is the whole crew that made WCEU 2016 possible

The 5th in a row WCEU is going to happen in the heart of Europe, in Paris, from June 15 – 17.

Once a year WordPress professionals come together for 3 days to share knowledge and experience, and to strengthen the WordPress community.

WordPress powers around 25% of the world’s websites, but what makes it truly powerful are the people behind it, the community that is one of the largest in the world, and they work selflessly without asking for anything. This amazing attitude can be seen right on the front lines on WordCamp Contributor Day, where the real magic happens.

Last year WCEU broke all records, and this year we are trying to break them again.

39 sponsors chose to support us and 69 speakers decided to share their story and transfer their knowledge to attendees.

Even though it is a European WordPress conference, people from 68 countries showed up at our doorstep, whether they helped us organize it or were there to mingle and make some new contacts.

We had an impressive 160 volunteers and 20 organizers that gave their best to make Vienna the center of the WordPress community for those 3 days.

This year we are going to try even harder to beat these numbers in Paris.

We have a wonderful french community that stands for one of the largest and passionate in the Europe and beyond. Media and attendees will even have a chance to meet the creator himself – Matt Mullenweg
